Travis Kelce stepped out in a shirt that appeared to be a nod to one of his fiancée Taylor Swift’s songs featured on her 12-track album, The Life of a Showgirl

Travis Kelce appears to be nodding to Taylor Swift‘s cheekiest song yet with his latest pre-game outfit.
On Monday, Oct. 6, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 36, stepped out in an outfit that appears to be a subtle nod to “Wood,” a song featured on his fiancée’s new album,The Life of a Showgirl, that was released on Friday, Oct. 3.
Swift’s song “Wood” is believed to be about Kelce, and seems to have influenced the NFL star to wear a woodland-inspired shirt ahead of the Chiefs game against the Jaguars, taking place in Jacksonville, Fla. on Monday night.
Kelce stepped out in the now-sold out “ALFRE” shirt ($2,650) from J. Logan Home, a sustainable luxury brand based in Palm Beach. The garment was handmade from three vintage designer scarves and finished with repurposed buttons that match.
The shirt itself boasts earthy colors, such as various shades of browns and greens. It also includes a woodland scene of sticks, grass, leaves, feathers and ducks — perhaps, even a wood duck or two.

He paired the top with tan trousers, brown suede boots, a brown suede hat and matching jacket. He carried a suede and leather duffle bag in his hand, as seen in a photo captured as he walked off the private jet upon landing.
Attached to the duffle bag was a “Just for a Moment 5 Panel Hat” from One of These Days in the shade “Hunter Orange,” which is likely a nod to both the woodsy theme and The Life of a Showgirl orange aesthetic.
Swift, 35, previously explained the significance behind the color orange and her latest album, telling Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce during her appearance on their New Heights podcast that she’s “just always liked it.”
“It feels like energetically how my life has felt — and this album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during [The Eras Tour], which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant,” she said of the color in August.
“One of the things about this record is, like, it’s a record I made with my mentor Max Martin and Shellback. The three of us have made some of my favorite songs that I have ever done before,” she shared, before revealing a few upon Jason’s request.

“They were my main collaborators on my Red album,” she pointed out, then shared: “We did ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together,’ ‘I Knew You Were Trouble,’ ’22,’ ‘Shake It Off,’ ‘Blank Space,’ ‘Style,’ ‘Wildest Dreams’… ‘Ready for It,’ ‘Delicate’.”
Travis, clearly excited as his now-fiancée listed the songs, chimed in to say, “So that’s the energy we’re going for — okay, I understand why it’s orange now. Okay!”
The song “Wood,” meanwhile, is now regarded as Swift’s raunchiest track to date. It’s risqué, packed with innuendo, BDE and double entendres with lyrics that seem to put Kelce’s manhood centerstage.
She begins by singing about bad luck and superstitions, like knocking on wood. However, things take a hard turn in the post-chorus.

“Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He ah-matized me and opened my еyes,” she croons, seemingly censoring herself before being frank. “Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see / His love was thе key that opened my thighs.”
There is a more direct reference to the Super Bowl champion in the next pre-chorus where she name-drops his podcast New Heights.
“And baby, I’ll admit, I’ve been a little superstitious / The curse on me was broken by your magic wand / Seems to be that you and me, we make our own luck,” she sings.
The Life of a Showgirl dropped on Oct. 3 and is now available to stream.
The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Stadium, in Florida, at 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday, Oct. 6.
