CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Queen City’s entertainment scene could be turning up the volume near Bank of America Stadium.
Tepper Sports and Entertainment, which owns the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC, is proposing building a 4,400-seat entertainment arena next to the stadium.
The venue, which would be near the North Gate of the stadium, could host between 80 and 120 shows per year.
The two-acre site would not need rezoning and it is part of TSE’s 2025 funding request.
“The renovation aims to ensure Bank of America Stadium remains a valuable community asset, offering unique and memorable experiences for fans while contributing to the economic vitality of the city and region for years to come. Our plans for the entertainment venue reflect a continued commitment to the city’s future, and we look forward to sharing more details soon,” said Kristi Coleman, CEO of Tepper Sports & Entertainment.
TSE said renderings of the new venue will be released early next year.
The Charlotte City Council could vote on the project as early as Oct. 13.
