No. Howard Stern has not been fired, nor has his show on Sirius XM “The Howard Stern Show” been canceled. He addressed rumors on Monday, Sept. 8, on Howard 100 live and told media he was “very happy” at Sirius, and that the reports swirling online were “fake news.”

Howard Stern’s contract at SiriusXM is nearing its end, leading to rumors he was not returning to “The Howard Stern Show” on Howard 100. Those cancelation rumors escalated on Aug. 5 when the US Sun reported, citing unnamed sources, Stern had no plans to take a contract offer.

Howard Stern’s five-year contract is up at the end of 2025 and was estimated to be worth $100 million a year. Each time his contract has come up for renewal, the talk show host and self-declared “King of All Media” has helped stoke the rumor mill by teasing his departure.
