The Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals get set for a primetime matchup on Saturday night, the middle game of their three-game weekend set.
After a terrible start to their road trip in California’s capital, the Tigers made up for some sort of lost time on Friday night in Kansas City. After falling behind 3-0 in the opening inning, Detroit reeled off five straight runs, capped off by an insurance home run in the eighth inning from catcher Dillon Dingler, leading to 5-3 win, ending a four-game losing streak.
