Ariana Grande has a cheesy idea for a movie about her life.
While the Wicked star was hesitant when it came to the idea of having her own biopic—joking the film should be called “Scrap This and Don’t Watch It”—she did have an idea as to who could play her in the hypothetical movie.
“A tiny mouse with subtitles the whole time,” Ariana joked with Backstage in a video posted to Instagram Feb. 9. “I would like that, actually.”
“It would be a tiny, beautiful short film with mice reenacting my whole life with little, tiny subtitles at the bottom,” the 32-year-old continued. “That’s the only version of it that I’m interested in.”
And while the “7 Rings” singer is not ready for her own biopic just yet, she has taken time to reflect on her career now that she’s officially said goodbye to Wicked and the character of Glinda.

“It feels like a beautiful time to put it in a beautiful book on the shelf next to the other L. Frank Baum books that I collect,” she shared with Backstage. “It does feel like the right time to turn the page and to thankfully and proudly, gratefully let go.”
“Before Wicked, I hadn’t acted in a decade-ish,” Ariana said. “My pop music career, which I am so endlessly grateful for, had taken on a life of its own, a life that I don’t know I could have predicted or planned for.”

As the former Nickelodeon star explained, her music career made her journey to be cast as Glinda an “uphill battle,” because people knew her as a pop star and didn’t immediately think of her as an actress.
She added, “I had to do a lot of deconstructing to convince a lot of people that I could disappear into her.”
And with Oz now behind her, she can hardly believe that she achieved so much.
“I know I did the work so that they could,” she said, “but I still feel as curious and inspired as…the first day I got here.”
