“Garbage bags, toilet paper, and hours of work for a ME-MO-RABLE result,” Lecaillier writes in her post, proudly sharing her creation with followers on her page (@lesmondesdemae).

What started as a scramble to find something to wear quickly turned into a viral masterclass in DIY imagination. In the clip, Lecaillier cuts, tapes and shapes her materials until a wonderfully bonkers ostrich begins to take form — complete with flapping wings and a bobbing neck made from little more than determination and a sense of humor.

Once finished, the costume springs to life. The footage shows her “running amok” around her home and even “popping out a balloon as if laying an egg,” a scene so absurdly funny it could rival a sketch comedy routine.
