Zara Tindall was reportedly mistaken for a commoner while attending Royal Ascot.

According to a GB News report, Princess Anne‘s daughter wasn’t recognized by security officers at the annual horse racing event.

In an awkward moment, Tindall was redirected to the ticket office by a security officer after going through the owners’ entrance without a pass.

Instead of making a fuss, King Charles III‘s niece reportedly began walking toward the general admission area.

A guard quickly noticed the mishap and ushered Tindall in with the rest of the VIP attendees.

Zara attends with husband Mike

The 45-year-old made an appearance at the gathering alongside her husband, Mike Tindall.

While The Princess Royal, Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling rode in the ceremonial carriage ride behind His Majesty and Queen Camilla, Zara did not partake in the tradition.

Following the procession, the blonde beauty was seen warmly greeting Charles and other relatives.

Zara and Mike’s bond with William and Kate

In 2023, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Anne appeared on Mike’s “The Good, The Bad and The Rugby” podcast, where they gushed over how close they are as a family.

“The only time I’ve ever cried when watching sport was when Zara won, I think it was the European championship,” the Prince of Wales said of his cousin.

“I was down in Exmore at the time camping. We were all huddling around the phone watching it. She was there, she was blubbing away, the flag was going up. I was in pieces,” William added.

The former Duchess of Cambridge added, “I can remember because you came back and said I’ve never been so proud of anyone.”

Zara and Mike are ‘informal’ royals

Although Zara and her partner don’t have titles, they are valuable members of the inner royal circle.

“Zara has been very popular. You’ll see her at Royal Ascot, you’ll see her doing her own thing,” expert Robert JobsontoldHELLO!.

“I do think that it’s about money. The ones who are working are on the payroll,” he continued. “I don’t think that’s going to be the case in terms of the unofficial side of things. I think it’ll be very much more informal.”

The royals never want Zara and Mike to leave England

According to an insider, when Zara and Mike contemplated relocating to Australia, their extended family was outraged.

“When the idea was discussed seriously during a sit-down, it drew blank faces and teary eyes from several members of the family,” the source told Daily Express.

“It became instantly clear that it wasn’t a move that could ever become permanent. Longer periods of time will be spent in Australia instead,” the insider claimed.
