At this point, Zendaya is just playing games with us.
Right now, the Emmy Award-winning actor is in the midst of promoting her new A24 black comedy The Drama (out April 3), which follows a couple who discover unsettling truths about each other right before they say “I do.” However, in a new promotional shoot for the film, Zendaya turned heads when she appeared to be flashing an actual wedding ring, just days after reports emerged that she had secretly gotten married to her real-life partner, Tom Holland.
It all began at the Actor Awards this past Sunday, when Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, was asked about the looks for her wedding. “The wedding already happened. You missed it,” he told Access Hollywood, later giving the same answer to Entertainment Tonight. “It’s very true!”
Whether the image architect had actually spilled the news or was merely trying to divert the conversation away from the topic was unclear, but Zendaya’s mom, Claire Stoermer, raised even further questions when she shared the clip of Law Roach’s response to her Instagram Story, writing, “The laugh…,” while adding her own laughing emoji.
Now, in a new shoot from A24 to promote The Drama, Zendaya appears to be wearing her east-west engagement ring right alongside a surprise golden band—her new wedding ring, perhaps?
For context, in the poster for The Drama, Zendaya is seen wearing a different engagement ring from her own, and no wedding band—so it would have been an odd choice to suddenly put her in one for this shoot. Not to mention, her co-star, Pattinson, was photographed without any rings at all.
Needless to say, all the signs seem to be pointing to one conclusion… (Cue Law Roach’s laugh.)
