Natasha Bedingfield and Nelly Furtado have fans “screaming” in response after the duo came together for an “impromptu” duet during soundcheck at what looks to be a recent festival appearance.
In a new video from the two, the early aughts icons grooved together on stage as they sang Bedingfield’s “These Words,” belting, “Oh, I love you, I love you, I love you,” at each other, mashed up with Furtado’s “Turn Off the Lights.” It’s not clear where the surprise collab took place, but it was possibly as part of the Town Festival in São Paula, Brazil, which runs from Sept. 6 to Sept. 14 and which Bedingfield is on the schedule for.
“In the early 2000s we did it for the love of the music… some things never change,” Furtado captioned a clip of the joyful moment on Instagram. “Imrpomptu [sic] soundcheck with @natashabedingfield took me right back to the aughts ✌️💕.”
“Only thing that’s changed is us both wearing flats ! Love you so much Nelly,” the “Pocketful of Sunshine” songstress added in a comment.
