Political representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has claimed that paid MAGA influencers and social media accounts have targeted and “attacked” her for appearing on ABC’s The View.
Wearing a bright red suit, the U.S. Representative joined Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin in The View studio on November 4 to discuss President Donald Trump and the current political landscape.
Speaking on air, she told the presenters that paid MAGA social media accounts “attacked” her for announcing she would be on The View.
She explained, “I think there’s a lot of paid social media influencers and I found it very interesting that they were the MAGA accounts but they’re all paid and they all attacked me when I announced I was coming to join you ladies on The View.”
The clip has been shared on X, with one person replying, “I told you all she’s out… she’s going to start spilling all their tricks and secrets, mark my words. She sees the writing on the wall… she’s jumping ship. She’s one of the rare Republican reps that listen to her constituents, that’s why her approval numbers haven’t fallen among her voters. As crazy as they are. Her voters have jumped ship and she’s jumping with them.”
Another wrote, “She’s absolutely right. The coordinated attacks from those so-called big MAGA accounts are pathetic. One minute they’re blasting Cuomo, the next they’re telling people to ditch the Republican candidate? Make it make sense.”
Another backed her claims, as one wrote, “She’s right, the right wing rise was due to a massive network of paid influencers who have spread propaganda over this past decade.”
Also while appearing on The View, Greene was accused of “slamming Republicans” by show host Joy Behar. Behar said,”You’re slamming Republicans too much. You’re taking my job!” Laughing in response, Greene remained silent as Behar added, “You’re slamming Republicans a lot on topics like healthcare, the Epstein files!”
The remainder of The View interview also disappointed TV audiences who felt it lacked confrontation, prompting complaints on social media. One viewer wrote, “This MTG interview on The View is way too civil. Still don’t trust this woman!!” while another commented, “Giving MTG all of these softballs and no pushback on #TheView is really disappointing. She even just mispronounced Kamala’s name 3 times in a row with no correction. WTF is going on?”
Throughout her appearance, Greene acknowledged that the government “disgusts” her while discussing her perspective on recent political tensions in Washington DC surrounding significant reductions to public services.
She told the panel, “Look, I’m with women, so I feel very comfortable saying this. I’m really tired of the p-ssing contest in Washington DC between the men.”
She then added, “The government has failed all of us. It purely disgusts me, it really does. It is an embarrassment to me that we are not in session.” Greene continued by stating she would ‘not be taking a paycheck’ from the Trump administration, insisting there should be a public registry of congresspeople receiving payment “because their paychecks are taxpayer-funded.”
