Alyssa Milano is giving a glimpse into her almost 17-year marriage with husband David Bugliari.
While attending the Calamigos Ranch Resort & Spa Leading Hotels of the World Accreditation Celebration in Malibu, Calif., on Friday, May 1, the Who’s the Boss? alum, 53, spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about the secret to a lasting marriage.
She married Bugliari, 45, at his family’s New Jersey home in 2009, having initially started their romance while filming the 2007 horror film Pathology.
“Is it 17 or 18?” Milano said to PEOPLE while reflecting on the years since they wed. “We don’t remember if it’s 17 or 18. It’s amazing. He makes me laugh harder than any human being on the planet.”

“I think that he has consistently found new ways to love the different incarnations of who I am,” she continued, adding, “It’s just been beautiful getting to spend life with him.”
Milano was signed to the agency Bugliari worked for when they first met. They began dating after mutual friend Milo Ventimiglia encouraged them to act on their feelings for each other.
“I used to confide in Milo Ventimiglia and say, ‘Is that weird if I date an agent that’s at my agency?’ and he was very, like, ‘No, if you’re compatible, you should go for it,’ ” Milano told PEOPLE in 2017. “So I feel like he was responsible for my husband and me getting together.”

Bugliari proposed to Milano in December 2008, and they married less than a year later in August 2009. The couple welcomed their son, Milo Thomas, in 2011 and daughter, Elizabella Dylan, in 2014.
Milano has shared glimpses into their family life throughout the years on Instagram. In August 2025, she shared a heartfelt tribute to Bugliari alongside a black-and-white photograph taken on their wedding day in 2009.
