Cher and her boyfriend Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards latest date night may be one for the books.
On Wednesday, during New York Fashion Week, the iconic “Believe” singer, 79, and her boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards, 39, were at a party for Valentino Beauty at the iconic Studio 54 — in a one-night-only return for the glamorous brand’s new product launch.
Cher took to Instagram to mark the occasion, specifically with a photo of her and Edwards, a music producer, looking particularly loved up and holding hands.
And fans immediately took to the comments in support of the pair’s relationship, which started in 2022.
“I love seeing her so happy. Cher is shining,” one commenter wrote.
“You look so happy together – whenever I see a picture of you,” another said.
“He suits you excellent,” a third chimed in.
Cher also posted another photo from the night, capturing her and Edwards entering the club — a scene filled with fanfare that we can assume was likened to the days of when she frequented the club in its heyday.
“Back Again,” she captioned the pic.
Cher and Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards’ Dating Timeline
Cher and Edwards starting dating in 2022 and broke up briefly in 2023.
The singer has intermittently spoken about her relationship throughout their time together, and even defended their age gap on X in 2022.
“Love doesn’t know math, it sees,” she wrote in response to a social media critiquing her boyfriend’s younger age.
However she also has spoken about him, sharing that she’s had “the best time” with him.
“No matter what happens, I love being with him,” she told People in 2023. “He makes me laugh, and we have fun. What I learned is that it’s never too late. If you wrote out all the statistics, you would go, ‘Well, this is doomed.’ But we’ve been together a year, and if it was just a year, it would’ve been worth it. I’ve had the best time.”
