Don McLean is celebrating a big milestone with his girlfriend, Paris Dylan.
Last week, the American Pie singer, 80, took to Instagram to announce that he has been dating the model for ten years. He posted a heartwarming photo of the two on a red carpet, where he was dressed in an all-black suit, while Paris, 31, wore a hot-pink blazer dress and a pair of sparkling slingback heels.
“Happy anniversary, Paris. We’ve been together for more than 10 years, and you are the love of my life,” he captioned the post. As fans congratulated the two, the model mirrored the adoration, commenting, “love of my life,” accompanied by a heart emoji.
Don and Paris have been romantically linked since 2016. She was initially hired as his social media manager; however, they began dating shortly after.
The two hadn’t confirmed their relationship until two years later, when the model took to Instagram to post a birthday tribute to the singer.
Alongside a photo of the pair hugging, she wrote, “Happy birthday, my baby, my beauty, love of my life, my everything.”
Patrisha attempted to file a protection order after the incident, alleging her husband had “terrorized” her for four hours that night. She also claimed he wanted to “strangle” her. The request was withdrawn days later.
The singer still holds resentment over his ex-wife, previously describing her as “the worst person I ever knew.”
Don left his first marriage to Carol Sauvion with more fondness. He has previously shared that the singer holds a place in his memories and he still thinks of her when singing his 1970 hit And I Loved You So.
Nevertheless, the singer is unsure if he will tie the knot a third time.
While speaking to The I Paper, he confessed, “Paris and I talk about it but I don’t think we need that right now. If it happens, it will just happen. We’re having the best time and she is wonderful.”
