Katy Perry broke her silence about her new romance with Justin Trudeau during her London concert on Monday, October 13 — while he was reuniting with his ex-wife in Canada.
“No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time…. But not anymore,” the pop star, 40, teased the excited crowd at the O2 Arena, per The U.S. Sun.
And when one fan proposed marriage, Perry — who was spotted making out with the former Canadian prime minister, 53, on a yacht in photos that had gone public two days earlier — cheekily responded, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago.”
On the same day, in Canada, her new beau was enjoying a holiday dinner with his family, including his estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, 50.

“Lucky to be alive, loved and most of all, with family for Thanksgiving,” the former TV host posted on her Instagram Story, followed by a shot of the politician loading up his plate next to their son, Hadrien, 11, and his former mother-in-law, Estelle Blais.
(Canada traditionally celebrates Thanksgiving on the second Monday in October.)
As Star previously reported, Sophie had posted a cryptic video about letting go of love just a day earlier.
“The people, the places [and] even the moments that once felt infinite — time asks us to not cling to them and yet we do,” she said in the video shared on Monday, October 13. “I do, because to hold on feels safer than to let go.”
“But love was never about possession,” the mother of three continued. “It was always about presence.”
