Meghan Markle shared a rare glimpse of her daughter, Princess Lilibet, to mark International Day of the Girl.
The Duchess of Sussex posted a video clip to her Instagram page of the four-year-old from behind racing around barefoot on a lawn with her hair tied in a low ponytail and dressed in an oatmeal-toned matching top and pants.
Meghan, 44, added a second slide to her social media post where she is standing barefoot next to a barefoot Lilibet holding her hand as they look over a stream.
In the picture, Meghan is dressed in a white shirt and white linen trousers with her hair up in a bun and sunglasses on top of her head, while Lilibet is wearing a pink t-shirt and nude-toned leggings and holding a small pink handbag.
Meghan captioned the post, writing, “To all the girls – this world is yours. Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, and support each other. We will do the same for you. It’s your right and our responsibility. Go get ‘em girl! Happy International Day of the Girl.”
Harry, 41, then stressed the importance of focusing on “one of the most pressing issues of our time” and ending the exploitation of children online.
He said, “This is a pivotal moment in our collective mission to protect children and support families in the digital age, and we cannot do it without you.”
Harry then referenced data from the ParentsTogether advocacy group, which revealed that every five minutes, children are exposed to harmful interactions with AI chatbots.
Harry said, “This wasn’t content created by a third party. These were the companies’ own chatbots working to advance their own depraved internal policies. But here’s what gives us hope: these families aren’t facing this alone.”
