Meghan and Harry even returned the favour, attending Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour in 2023 and her Cowboy Carter tour stop in LA earlier this year. But on Meghan’s big day this week, it was total silence.
Even more surprising was the lack of acknowledgement from Tyler Perry, the man who once referred to Meghan as “princess” in an emotional Instagram tribute and is godfather to her daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Back in 2022, Perry gushed: “I’ve had a front row seat in your life for the past few years. I’ve watched you endure things that would have broken a lot of people.
“I’m so incredibly proud to see how happy you, your husband, and your kids are now. It fills me with joy to say Happy Birthday, Princess Meghan.” This year, however, not a word — despite the mogul being active on Instagram that day.
And the royal family remained silent, too. In previous years, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton had posted birthday messages, as had King Charles III and Queen Camilla. But in 2025, not a single official message was shared.
The backlash couldn’t come at a worse time for Meghan. With her closest former supporters reportedly keeping their distance, critics are beginning to question whether her star is fading — both in Hollywood and across the pond.
