During a conversation with Josh Horowitz about his upcoming film, “Power Ballad,” at New York City’s 92NY, alongside his costar Paul Rudd and director John Carney, Nick Jonas opened up about various aspects of his life, including parenting. As reported by People, he was asked whether any songs or films tend to make him emotional. Honestly, even his answer was something many parents would instantly relate to.
Responding to this, Nick Jonas explained with a smile, “Well, I’ll say there are two scenes in this movie that I’m not in, and they hit me super hard as a father.” In fact, he also further added, “I think there’s a real thing that you’ll see. I want you to think about this powerful stuff, family, that aspect. Then, outside of that, when I cry over a movie, it’s The Lion King.” For parents, revisiting childhood favorites with their own children often becomes far more emotional than expected.
Furthermore, Jonas explained exactly that while talking about watching movies with 4-year-old Malti, whom he shares with his wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas. He added, “You know, things that I’m getting to watch with my daughter these days and kind of read some of those experiences, the stories that shaped who I became, and now I’m sharing that with her. It’s a totally special thing to experience,” he also noted that he also “always” cries during movies on planes. Honestly, many moms and dads will probably agree with him on “The Lion King.”
