Former The Apprentice star and TV personality Thomas Skinner is taking on a new challenge. He was one of the celebrities to take part in Strictly Come Dancing. But, partnered with Welsh professional dancer Amy Dowden, he did not last long in the competition and was the first voted off the show.
Now he will be back on our screens and back in the boardroom as he takes part in The Celebrity Apprentice Christmas Specials. There will be two episodes of the Christmas special, which sees celebrity teams go up against each other to create the best Christmas biscuit.
He will be joined by AJ Odudu, Angela Scanlon, Charlie Hedges, Eddie Kadi, Jake Wood, JB Gill, Kadeena Cox, Matt Morsia, Rob Rinder, Sarah Hadland, and Shazia Mirza in the boardroom.
Posting to Instagram about his return to the boardroom, Thomas said: “Bosh is back in the boardroom!! For this year’s Christmas special, I’ve been invited back to take part in the celebrity Christmas special.
“The show that made it all happen, where my story started back in 2019!
“Absolutely honoured to be a part of this! Tommy the talking turtle would be proud. See you soon, Lord Sugar. Bosh.”
Since leaving Strictly, Thomas has admitted that he wished he had never taken part in the dancing show.
In a fiery post, the former Apprentice favourite vented: “I’ve had enough of all this b****s. I can’t do anything right now without someone criticising me. Or making me do something against my will. It’s bull****.”
He added: “I wish I never done Strictly, I never fitted the bill for that show, let’s be honest. And it’s caused me nothing but agg. Constant abuse.”
In this two-part Christmas The Apprentice special, the celebrity candidates are split into two groups and sent to Lapland, the official home of Santa, to develop their own gingerbread biscuits.
Not only will the celebrities have to create their own biscuit, but they will have to market their product by creating an advert and a jingle.
Both teams will then have to face the dreaded task of pitching to retailers to help secure those all-important sales.
Team one, featuring AJ Odudu, Charlie Hedges, Eddie Kadi, Jake Woods, Kadeena Cox, and Rob Rinder, created the biscuit Jolly McTrouble, a gingerbread biscuit with butter toffee, vanilla, and Christmas pudding-flavoured festive icing.
With the tagline “Be Naughty, Get Nice” the biscuit is a portrait of Santa’s naughty brother, Jolly McTrouble.
Opposite them, Angela Scanlon, JB Gill, Matt Morsia, Sarah Hadland, Shazia Mirza and Tom Skinner created Gary the Penguin.
The biscuit combines gingerbread with a blend of lemon, bubble gum, and white pepper. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter.
Coined with the tagline “A Cheeky Treat for Your Little Rebel”, the biscuit is in the shape of a festive penguin, Gary, where the flavour combination is as rebellious as the celebrities who made it.
Accompanying the teams and keeping a watchful eye in Lapland are Baroness Karren Brady and Mike Soutar.
From Friday, November 14, the public can get their hands on these stocking filler must-haves, as the biscuits made by the celebrities will be available to buy nationwide, with every purchase helping to support children and young people across the UK.
Both biscuits will be available to purchase in the following retailers: Asda, Tesco, Boots, Debenhams, One Stop, Ocado Retail, Amazon Online, Amazon Fresh stores (London), Lola’s Cupcakes, Knoops, Haven Holidays, Wenzel’s The Bakers, and Greenhalgh’s bakeries.
With every purchase of these limited-edition biscuits, shoppers can enjoy a unique celebrity creation whilst also contributing to Children in Need.
