Nov. 17 (UPI) — Daniel Craig reprises his role as Benoit Blanc in Rian Johnson’s upcoming film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.
In a preview released Monday, viewers see Blanc declare that he is “incapable of not solving a crime,” despite being faced with “a perfectly impossible” case.
This particular crime involves the murder of Josh Brolin’s Monsignor Jefferson Wicks on stage.
“Wicks’ modest but devoted flock includes devout church lady Martha Delacroix (Glenn Close), wary groundskeeper Sampson Holt (Thomas Haden Church), tightly wound lawyer Vera Draven (Kerry Washington), aspiring politician Cy Draven (Daryl McCormack), town docttor Nat Sharp (Jeremy Renner), reclusive author Lee Ross (Andrew Scott) and concert cellist Simone Vivane (Cailee Spaeny),” an official synopsis reads.
Mila Kunis also stars as the police chief who hires Blanc, while Josh O’Connor portrays a priest, Jud Duplenticy.
