After four years entertaining viewers, Sherri Shepherdtook her final bow for her self-titled talk show, Sherri, on May 21. At the start of the show, Shepherd got emotional with the audience and said that although they had an hour together during her run, she felt as though they were her family, then thanked them for sticking by her.
Shepherd then joked that she will use the downtime she now has to “stalk” her crush, Lenny Kravitz, along with being in the gym constantly, so:
I finally have the time to stand outside his house with my binoculars, and I can go to the gym consistently now. My booty is going to be so round. You will be calling me Sherri Thee Stallion.
Priorities, right? Shepherd also talked about getting back into stand-up and also thanked her staff for all the hard work they’ve put into the show and others behind the scenes as well. Shepherd stated:
So many people have championed this show from day one. People believed in me, and they supported me. They lifted me up. And even on the days when I was hot flashing, when I lost my voice, when I lost my wig, I get people coming up to me on the street in the airport at the liquor store saying, ‘Sherri, we love your show. And not just people on the street. Huge celebrities have championed us.
