Bad Bunny is performing at Super Bowl 2026, and while the Puerto Rican singer just wrapped a highly successful tour in Puerto Rico and will next tour overseas, Bad Bunny also has acting chops, with roles in “Happy Gilmore 2” among others.
Rapper and reggaeton superstar Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, will headline “Saturday Night Live” on Oct. 4, but you may have spotted him as the busboy and caddy in Adam Sandler’s “Happy Gilmore 2.” Unlike the massive lineup of celebrity cameos and sports names in ‘Gilmore 2’, Bad Bunny plays a more prominent role in the film with plenty of airtime — and several epic lines in Sandler’s sequel, which was a hole-in-one when it dropped on Netflix in July.
Who is Bad Bunny, and who did he play in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’? Here’s what to know.
Was Bad Bunny in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’?
Yes, Bad Bunny played Oscar, the busboy and the caddie in “Happy Gilmore 2” to Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore character. He first appears in the film as a busboy at the Tour Champions dinner in a room packed with golfing pros including Keegan Bradley and Xander Schauffele. There, he is given a hard time by a waiter, played by NFL’s Kansas City Chief and Taylor Swift fiancé Travis Kelce.

Bad Bunny ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ character lines
Bad Bunny, billed by his real name Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio for “Happy Gilmore 2,” went from busboy to Sandler’s caddy in the film. As Oscar, Bad Bunny’s character imbued a likeability and naivete that showed the global superstar singer can also act. He brings his cousin, Esteban, on to play his caddie (hilariously remarking it’s his “caddie of a caddie”) and shows growing confidence during the film.
With dreams of opening his own restaurant, Oscar can’t help ridding himself of his prior food service duties, throwing out one line that just hit each time he said it: “Do you want breadsticks?“
What movies has Bad Bunny been in?
Bad Bunny, billed as Benito Martinez Ocasio, appeared most recently in “Caught Stealing,” a film starring Austin Butler and Zoë Kravitz which hit theaters in August. He played a Puerto Rican gangster named Colorado.
In 2022, he played “The Wolf” in 2022’s “Bullet Train,” starring Brad Pitt and played a minor role in “F9: The Fast Saga” in 2021, acting as the “lookout” in “Fast & Furious 9 — where the closing credit dropped his then-surprise new single “De Museo.” In September 2023, Bad Bunny joined Mexican actor Gael García Bernal in “Cassandro,” a film based on the life of the wrestling and queer icon also known as the Liberace of Lucha Libre. In the movie, he played Felipe, the luchador’s love interest.
Bad Bunny made his acting debut in 2021, when he played the supporting role of Arturo “Kitty” Páez, a member of the Tijuana cartel in the Netflix series “Narcos: Mexico.”
