Britney Spears recently revealed that she’s dipping her toe back into the dating pool, but her friends and family are reportedly concerned with how she’s meeting men.
The pop icon, 43, recently shared a clip on Monday, September 8, of herself dancing in a bathroom while on a date. She wore a short, black slip dress with a white lace trim that she paired with leopard knee-high boots.
“Dinner sushi date but I have my own girl party in the bathroom!!!” Spears captioned the post. “Yummy, the guy was absolutely horrible. Psss show effort, no makeup.”
While the “Toxic” singer doesn’t share many specifics on her dating life, a source told the Daily Mail on Wednesday, September 10, that sometimes she meets up with men who have messaged her via her direct messages on Instagram.

“Britney has responded to people on social media, but rarely,” the source told the publication. “It takes a certain type of guy to slide into her DMs, and of course she gets a lot of them and I don’t think she responds often, but I know it has happened. She’s attracted to confidence, and it takes a confident man to decide that he’s going to message her and start chatting.”
Spears has been single since her split from Paul Soliz, a former handyman who worked on her staff. The two had a turbulent relationship with at least one incident where the cops were called to the Chateau Marmont hotel after the two allegedly got into a verbal altercation. However, the two parted ways earlier this year in February.
Before Soliz, 38, Spears had been married three separate times. She tied the knot with her childhood friend Jason Alexander in a whirlwind Vegas wedding in 2004, but it was annulled just 55 hours later.

That same year, the Crossroads star married dancer Kevin Federline and they went on to welcome two sons. Sean Preston was born on September 14, 2005, and Jayden James was born less than a year later on September 12, 2005. She and Federline, 47, split three years later in 2007.
Spears began dating Sam Asghari in 2016 after they met on the set of “Slumber Party” music video. They married on June 9, 2022, in a ceremony held at her home, but a little over a year later, Asghari, 31, filed for divorce. It was finalized in May 2024.
